Terms and Conditions
These terms govern access to CareerGenie, including the Talent DNA features that learn from hiring signals and help teams rank candidates in a company-specific way.

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of CareerGenie, including our website, recruiting tools, integrations, AI interview workflows, candidate discovery features, and Talent DNA ranking features.
By creating an account, accessing the service, or using CareerGenie on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms. If you use CareerGenie for a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company.
2. What CareerGenie provides
CareerGenie helps recruiting teams discover, evaluate, and move candidates through their hiring workflow. The service may include ATS integrations, candidate search, AI-led interview support, shortlisting, ranking, and recommendations based on company-specific hiring patterns.
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time. We will try to provide reasonable notice when a material change affects active customers.
3. Talent DNA and use of hiring data
Talent DNA is designed to learn patterns from a company's hiring decisions and related recruiting signals. These signals may include ATS records, candidate profiles, applications, interview outcomes, shortlist decisions, hiring stages, feedback, source information, role context, recruiter actions, and other data that a customer chooses to connect or provide.
CareerGenie uses this data to create company-specific candidate signals and rankings, so two companies searching for the same role in the same location do not necessarily receive the same shortlist.
Customers retain ownership of their customer data. CareerGenie may process that data to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable agreements.
4. Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for the data you upload, connect, or instruct CareerGenie to process. You agree to:
- Have the necessary rights, permissions, notices, and lawful basis to provide candidate, employee, recruiter, and ATS data to CareerGenie.
- Use CareerGenie only for lawful recruiting, talent, and business purposes.
- Review AI-assisted outputs before making hiring decisions.
- Not use the service to discriminate unlawfully, infer protected characteristics, or make decisions prohibited by applicable law.
- Keep account credentials confidential and promptly notify us about unauthorized access.
5. AI-assisted recommendations
CareerGenie's rankings, interview summaries, candidate insights, and Talent DNA signals may be generated or assisted by AI. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or based on patterns in the data provided. You are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them.
We do not guarantee that any candidate recommendation will result in a hire, performance outcome, compliance outcome, or business result.
6. Deletion and data removal requests
Customers may request deletion of workspace data, connected ATS data, candidate records, and Talent DNA-derived signals by contacting hello@careergenie.app. Where technically and legally feasible, we will delete or anonymize the requested data and stop using it for future Talent DNA outputs.
Candidates may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data. If the relevant employer is the controller of that data, we may direct the request to that employer or assist the employer in responding.
Deletion may not immediately remove information from encrypted backups, audit logs, or records we must retain for legal, security, or legitimate business reasons. Backup copies are handled according to our retention and security practices.
7. Accounts, security, and integrations
You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must not attempt to bypass security controls, reverse engineer the service, scrape the service, or interfere with other users.
If you connect CareerGenie to an ATS or third-party tool, you authorize us to access and process data from that tool as needed to provide the service. Your use of third-party services remains subject to their own terms.
8. Fees and subscriptions
Paid services, if applicable, are governed by the pricing, order form, subscription plan, or written agreement accepted by the customer. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or agreed in writing.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareerGenie disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareerGenie will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or hiring outcomes.
